“Is this seat taken?”

“Looks like I’ve been stood up, so yes, this seat is available.”

“A beautiful lady like you? What man in his right mind would do such a thing?”

“Somebody else’s husband.”

“You’re too beautiful to share.”

“It was supposed to be temporary. He said he was leaving her.  But they never leave, do they?”

She proceeded to lament her ill-fated relationship. The things she’d done, legally and illegally, to help him succeed.  Eventually, she excused herself to go to the ladies room.

I pulled out my cell. “Detective Willis here. I think we’ve found our witness.”

This is my offering for week three of Moral Monday hosted by Nortina.

For this week’s moral, we’ll look outside the family. . .

Never talk to strangers

Your assignment is to write a story/fable (in any genre) that will teach this lesson.

No need to use the moral in your post, just write the story and let your readers learn the lesson all on their own.

Please limit your fable to 100 words.

After you’ve written your 100-word fable, ping back to this prompt page by simply pasting this link somewhere on your post.

Tag your story Moral Mondays so we can find you in the WordPress Reader! You can even use the badge to make your post more visible.

Come join the fun!

  3. Ha! He’s in some hot soup now. Never play with a woman’s emotions and dump her especially if she’s been a co-mate in doing illegal stuff 😉
