Writing 101, Day 3: HOPE

What is HOPE?

What does it look like?

How does it feel?

Can you taste it?

Hope is a rainbow after a storm, and the promise it holds. It blazes across the sky, bright and bold for all to see.  No beginning.  No end.

Hope is the dawn of a new day, the rays of sunshine lighting the way, overcoming the dark, and chasing away the night.

Hope is the birth of a child, and joy of their first cry, heralding promise and opportunities yet to come.

This is hope.

It is tangible, and we cling to it relentlessly.  Often, it is all we have.

It is visible.  It shines bold and bright, both day and night.

It is palatable.  It fills us, nourishes and sustains each and every day.

What is HOPE?

HOPE is everything.

By the way, that quote was written by Helen Keller, who was the first deafblind person to earn a bachelor of arts degree..

Hope really is powerful. I can’t even begin to imagine nor understand how someone deafblind got by day to day.
